TEDxUbudLive will bring you a full-day TED experience in the form of a live screening from the second day of TEDGlobal 2012: Radical Openness.
Throughout a whole week, TEDGlobal will showcase an extraordinary collection of speakers with just this in common: they have something remarkable to share, and they are able to share it in a remarkable way.
In this event, we will be screening never-before-seen talks that are not yet available to public. TEDGlobal 2012 explores the idea of Radical Openness.
The world is becoming increasingly interconnected and open – radically open – manifesting itself in open borders, open culture, open-source, open data, open science, open minds – an open world that breeds transparency, authenticity, creativity and collaboration.
All bets are off as to what openness and collaboration in an ultra-connected world will mean for human potential. Traditional top-down models of organization no longer reflect reality. Social capital and influence are becoming stronger currencies than hierarchy and formal power. We now have new, collaborative ways of creating meaning, and we’re making changes at breakneck speed. Only one thing appears certain: secrecy is no longer bankable. Impact is. The future will be built on great ideas, and for that, great ideas need to circulate freely, broadly and openly.
