Legendary grunge band from Bali & uber talented Russian crossover violinist will perform together at the Betel Nut music lounge in Ubud
German Dmitriev is Russian musician who blends classical training with contemporary music. A former child prodigy with an immense technical talent, he became a successful crossover violinist, uniquely adept in his ability to alternate between performing classical selections on an acoustical violin and playing modern music on a high-tech electric violin.
German’s unique, and wholly individual style, pays as much homage to Nirvana and Led Zeppelin as to Edvard Grieg.
Enjoy a thrilling strings of this dazzling musician, whose violin can gracefully conquer the classical works as effortlessly as old-world Russian folk music and more contemporary sounds of modern rock music.
Not to be satisfied with just doing innovative covers of music from such a wide variety of genres, German also displays his own deft writing skills with notable originals.
The varied repertoire included own emotionally "Cherry Mary" and "Between Heaven and Earth", classics in Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt, newly created version of ''Phantom of the Opera'' and rock symphonies featuring material from Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park and very own "Metal Winter"
