The ‘Long Time Man’: Nick Cave in Song – with Marlowe Bandem & Rebekah Moore

In anticipation of musician, songwriter, author, and screenwriter Nick Cave’s appearance at the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival, Bar Luna is pleased to present a special evening celebrating the music of Australia’s critically acclaimed and versatile wordsmith. Bali’s own unconventional disc jockey and music collector Marlowe Bandem will lead us down the rabbit hole—or into the cavern—through vinyl and digital soundscapes, crossing decades and genres of proto-punk, free jazz, and gothic rock to arrive at the dark, and devout, violent and tender ruminations woven into Cave’s many musical personae.
