Pesto pizza is good for people who want something different from the usual sauce, cheese, and pepperoni deal. The flavor of basil infuses the pizza and raises it to a gourmet level that makes this a fine dining treat as well as a tasty anytime meal.

Edit Ingredients
- Pre-made pizza crust (or make your own pizza dough)
 - Pesto sauce
 - Tomatoes (sun dried or fresh)
 - Cooked ground beef (you can use sausage or other meats too); for a vegetarian version, use TVP or similar
 - Basil, to garnish
 - Spices
 - Salt/pepper

Edit Steps
- Buy or assemble the ingredients. Have them placed out and ready to use.
 - Place the pizza crust in the pizza pan. Spread the pesto sauce evenly across it. Don't forget to leave room for the crust at the end.Place the base of the pizza in the pizza pan, as shown. You can then spread the pesto sauce evenly across it, as seen in the photo. You shall need to leave some room for the crust at the outer edge of the pizza base.
 - Put on the ingredients. You can put them on in any order you like but here is a suggestion: cheese, tomatoes, beef or meat (or substitute), basil/spices, and top it off with a little salt and/or pepper.
 - Heat the pizza in the oven. Follow the heating instructions provided on the packaging or with the recipe you've used for the base.
- Since pesto isn't as thick as the usual pizza sauce, the pizza may take a shorter time to cook. It's wise to keep a frequent watch over it while baking. It's better to pull it out too soon than too late! Frequently the Pizza shall be ready once the cheese you have placed on top has melted into the other toppings upon the pesto sauce.

 - Wait for it to finish baking. Then, remove the pesto pizza from the heat, slice and enjoy hot and fresh from the oven.
