Tariq Snare is a member of Native Deen, a conscious hip hop group from Washington, DC. Originally solo artists and active participants of their Muslim communities searching for creative ways to educate and inspire Muslim youth, today Native Deen has become a fusion of Hip-hop and R&B, uplifting audiences with powerful messages of camaraderie and faith. Drawing their own inspiration from Islam, Native Deen’s music calls listeners to keep the faith, live better lives, and not succumb to the pressures and temptations of modern society.
Come join Tariq Snare from the conscious hip hop band Native Deen (Washington, DC, USA) for a hip hop lecture, drum workshop, and demonstration. Guest performances by PitchBlackGold, SnapBack, and Dewata Hip Hop. All drummers, MCs, DJs, and hip hop fanatics welcome!
